If there are tax breaks, wouldn’t it make sense to give the people that already pay the most the most cuts?

Joe Shmoe asked:

I don’t understand why everyone is hating on the wealthy and saying how they should have no tax breaks. It seems like if you pay the most you should be the first to have to pay less if there are tax breaks.

warren buffet says he pays 15 percent… that’s far less than I pay…

how low do you want them to go?

IN SIMPLE TERMS… you cut a rich guy’s taxes 1 percent… you have to raise taxes on the less wealthy 3 or 4 percent to make up for it, since his 1 percent is so much…

(1 percent of 2 billion is a lot more than 1 percent of 50K)

how much more do YOU want to pay to give the wealthy cuts?

do notice we have had about a 5 trillion debt since Bush’s tax cuts…

    Democrats= Socialist’s.

Don’t trust them. You know the loathsome income tax? It was originally created by and pushed by Democrats to bleed the rich, then a decade or so after they got it passed Democrat’s turned this harmless tax that only effected the rich into a very invasive and harmful tax by both extending it to the middle and lower class and by creating
    payroll withholding tax.

Lesson for today is the Democrats claim to want to tax the rich but only use it as a pretense to get the organizations and procedure in place to increase the tax’s of everyone.

They already got their tax breaks five years ago under bush.
Technically, everyone did, but they got the majority of it.

No, if you earn the most, then you have the ability to pay more, so you should. Would you rather give Paris Hilton a tax break than Joe the Plumber? She doesn’t need it. people like Joe the Plumber do.

The very rich pay LESS taxes than the middle class …. They could pay more but they are able to take advantage of tax breaks we don’t get .

Your rational, logical thought process is admirable. Unfortunately, that kind of thinking is not allowed in Obamaland. Bots believe they are the ones that should get more tax cuts, plus they should get their share of the money from the taxes that the wealthy pay. They somehow believe, in their warped minds, that they deserve someone else’s cash. It also should be given to them freely without working for it.

I am not sure how CEO’s, the wealthy, or rich people became their targets, but it seems to be that Obama gave them the idea and they are now running with it. What’s yours is mine seems to be the chant and is stealing and thievery in my opinion. Although according to Obama it has been given different names…One is now seen as unpatriotic and selfish if you don’t go along with the idea. Instead of the reverse, What’s mine is yours. that is given freely and lovingly.

Obama has turned stealing into a mockery of those that have money. Is this promoting stealing? Haven’t we always tried to instill the morals from the Ten Commandments…thou shall not steal.

A rational, logical, thinking person may soon be the minority. I believe there are still more of us than there are of those whose ethics and morality are being systematically destroyed in mass. Hold on to what you’ve got. Do not be swayed. I believe yes we can will be stamped out with a resounding, No, You Won’t.

Depends why you are having tax breaks.

If you want to stimulate the economy, then you need to give it to those who will spend it on something that will stimulate the economy.

If you just want to get rid of money because the government has too much money, then you can give it to the wealthy because they pay the most.
