Saying he would roll back tax breaks upsets alot of people, but if you want to get out of debt there is no other way.
We know this because McCain wants Bush’s same tax policy, which created more debt than any president.

It would take a lot more than that for him to get my vote.

I would be less interested in voting for more of the same. We have to restore fiscal discipline. Asking the rich to pay at the same tax rate that was in effect during Clinton’s presidency isn’t asking too much.

The average American is too dumb to understand that Obama is only taxing the top 5% of our country more. Tax cuts will go to the middle-class.

So, if he would have just kept his mouth shut and done it after in office, he would get more vote.

I hear uneducated poor folks that make $30k/yr talking about how Obama is going to redistribute their wealth to the even more poor.

Obama is already receiving more votes because Americans are realizing that our taxes are funding the war in Iraq and Afghanistan; corporate bailouts; and the failed Bush policies that have increased our tax burden more than $7,000 per household. We’ll receive more tax breaks under Obama’s plan than McCain’s.

No. It would cost Obama votes.

Obama has proposed tax increases (as you say, it amounts to rolling back Bush’s tax cuts) on the high-income brackets, and some tax releif for the middle class.

Do the math. There are maybe 5-8% of the people in those high tax brackets. The rest are in the lower tax brackets. Obama gains votes by rolling back the tax giveaways for the rich.

    NO
If he was planning on sticking it to the middle class like Bush has and McCain plans to do, he would be running as a Republican, and America is done with them, until they get their act straight.
