How in the world could McCain try to say these kinds of people deserve more tax breaks after billions in bailout?
kirbyelise22: It’s MCCAIN who is promising more tax breaks to companies just like AIG, not the federal government.

Taxes cut into their profits unless they reduce pay roll or increase the price of their products. More profits will allow the business to hire more people and expand business creating jobs. That’s why they need tax breaks.

Have you considered that if we continue to overly tax them that they might go out of business or being a global market, take those jobs outside our country, either way job loss to the USA. EVERYONE should pay a FAIR share of taxes.

I completely agree. If you want to build up the economy, you help the people that can and do buy things. You don’t pour the money down from the top.

I really don’t think this is a fact. Have you ran a bussiness before ? Over head is a *****. But that doesn’t accuse this companys BS. People who make less than 60,000 need help.

    GOD BLESS

You are trying to act as if McCain bailed out AIG. Our entire federal government bailed out AIG with our money. Tax cuts for corporations help to lower prices and create jobs. Raising taxes for companies cuts into profit, creating lay-offs, less competition, less jobs, and an all-around worse economy. It is not as simple as letting companies have more. People keep harping on this, but the truth is, it is not as simple as the general, I want more and they have it, group seems to think. The economy is intricate. If you raise taxes and cut into profit of companies, they raise prices and cut jobs. This still ends up costing the average American. Companies trickle their expenses down to customers. Think of the big picture.

No – these businesses do not deserve anything. They stash their profits for themselves, and borrow your money to run the show.

    It’s unethical…morally unethical.
