JMAC asked:

If they do what happens if this practice is no longer allowed. Is there a percentage that must be maintained to receive a tax break. The money saved on gas and with less vehicles on the roadways I would imagine that companies would encourage Telecommuting, especially during the present financial situation

How would Verizon or any other company profit from the fact that you don’t have to buy gas to get to work? Perhaps they could pay you less because it doesn’t cost you as much to work for them?

There is no federal tax break that a company receives because you work at home. Maybe there is a municipality somewhere that would extend tax incentives.

  1. No trackbacks yet.
