They start to have good exclusives coming soon such as Little Big Planet, Killzone 2, Resistance 2, and much more. Also don't forget about the Home online, it looks really innovative and better than the other online worlds. They are also going to have a massive online multiplayer shooting game called M..A.G. which can hold up to 200 something people in one server! Most of its launch titles that did well have been shooters, and with the new Killzone coming up, that will only open up more market for shooting games. Its safe to say however that Sony hasnt forgotten its RPGS, FF13 is TBA in 2009.
