My husband recently got out of the Army on a medical board. With that, he recieved a severance pay that is not taxable; however it is taxed at first for some reason (it is like this for all military separation pays). He receieved the pay last year, but his VA rating didn’t come back to us until after Jan. 1. Does anyone know how to file to receive these taxes back? I know, from other people who have had the same thing done, that we are going to receive the entire taxed amount back, but we just don’t know how to go about filing it and none of the professional tax places we have called have ever dealt with this. Anyone have any advice or has anyone gone through this before? Thank you!!!

After Bill left office and the country started it’s downturn, blame was placed on him for the reason. Even almost 8 yrs after he’s gone, some are STILL blaming Bill for the current status of our country.

Whether it’s McCain or Obama, will they get blamed for a poor economy like Bill Clinton was?

I believe the main reason the economy is sluggish right now is because the democrats are so undecieded about whom they want to run for president. As soon as the democratic convention is over and they pick whoever they want, the stock market will rebound. Now if McCain gets elected, then it will be even better and investers can let out a sigh of relief. What do you think?
